I have been on quite the cooking kick for the past week and I feel like my energy has returned. I have been devouring blueberries, apples, Bok Choy.... all the things that my parents cooked when I was a child. It hit me this week that my great grandmother, who died 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 99, consumed a diet that consisted mainly of all food from the earth. I need to return to my childhood eating habits. I have a feeling once I do I'll feel more like a 9 year old instead of a 70 year. So here's to starting the week with a pot of Guyanese soup( plaintain, sweet potato, carrots, chicken and cassava.)
